After a 1 hour lecture to introduce simulation, students can build and run their first simulation. An onscreen tutorial guides students through the process.
Also in our education package, we are now offering Scenario Generator, a whole system clinical pathway model. This tool can be used to simulate a population, their likelihood of having a condition which brings them to healthcare providers, and models their different routes through services in primary care, hospital and community.
Developed with the UK NHS, Scenario Generator is also used in Canada and Australia and will be useful to students and researchers in understanding clinical pathways and exploring the impact of healthcare reforms. To support learning, a training manual, case studies and student exercises are provided.
